Terms of service

These terms apply to this website and to Celestial Client. By creating an account, downloading the client or publishing a mod, you agree to them.

Your account

• You need to be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live requires it, to create an account.
• Keep your password safe and turn on two-factor authentication. You’re responsible for what happens on your account.
• One person, one account. Don’t share accounts or create accounts to get around a suspension.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account.

Celestial Client

• Celestial Client is proprietary software. All rights are reserved.
• You may download it from this website and use it on your own devices.
• You may not sell, redistribute, rehost, decompile or modify the client, or bypass its mod sandbox.
• You need your own Minecraft: Java Edition account to play. The Celestial launcher downloads the game files for you.

Mods and other content you publish

• You keep the rights to everything you upload.
• By publishing, you allow us to host, scan, compress, display and distribute your content on this website and in Celestial Client, under the licence you choose for each project.
• You confirm that you have the right to publish it and that it follows the content rules.
• Every new project is reviewed before it is listed. We can decline, hide or remove content, block files, and limit or close accounts that break these terms.

Cosmetics store

• Cosmetics are sold by the creators who make them. When you buy one, the creator is the seller and you pay them directly, on their own Stripe or PayPal account. Celestial isn’t a party to the payment and takes no share of it.
• All sales are final. There are no refunds. You confirm this before every purchase.
• A purchase lets you wear the cosmetic in Celestial on your account. It’s delivered when the creator’s payment provider confirms the payment to us.
• Questions about a payment go to the creator. Disputes and chargebacks are between you and the creator’s payment provider. If a payment is disputed, charged back or returned to you, the cosmetic is removed from your wardrobe automatically.
• We can take down a cosmetic that breaks the content rules or the law. While it’s taken down, nobody can wear it.

Selling cosmetics

• You connect your own Stripe or PayPal account with your own keys. You’re the seller and the merchant of record, and you handle taxes and support for your buyers.
• All sales on Celestial are final, and you don’t offer refunds through Celestial. Disputes and chargebacks are handled between your buyers and your payment provider.
• Your keys are stored encrypted and are only used to start checkouts for your cosmetics and to confirm their payments.
• Before your first listing you agree to the creator terms shown in the creator dashboard.

Acceptable use

Don’t:

• upload malware, or anything that tries to escape the mod sandbox
• attack, overload or scrape this website, or test it for vulnerabilities without permission
• harass people, impersonate others or mislead players
• use automated tools to create accounts, follow mods or inflate download counts

Downloads

Mods are made by independent developers. We check every file before it’s listed, but we can’t guarantee that any mod or the client is free of bugs or fits your needs. Everything is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential damage, lost data or lost profits that come from using this website, the client or any mod.

Changes

We may update these terms. When the changes are important, we’ll show a notice on the website before they take effect. If you keep using the website afterwards, the new terms apply.
