Content rules
Last updated 31 Oct 2026
Every project on Celestial is reviewed before it’s listed. These rules decide what we accept. Breaking them can get a project removed and an account suspended.
Safety
- No malware, spyware, cryptocurrency miners or hidden behaviour of any kind.
- No attempts to escape the mod sandbox or to hide code: no obfuscation, no precompiled Lua bytecode, no encrypted payloads.
- Only ask for the permissions your mod needs, and explain each one in the description.
- Don’t collect personal data. If your mod uses the internet, say what it sends and where.
Honesty
- The name, summary, description and screenshots must match what the mod really does.
- Changelogs should describe what actually changed.
- Don’t copy another project’s name or branding, or pretend to be someone else.
Ownership
- Only publish work you made or have permission to publish.
- Respect the licences of anything you include, and credit other people’s work.
- If someone has reuploaded your work, report it and we’ll look into it.
Fair play
- No mods made to cheat on multiplayer servers or to get around server rules and anti-cheat systems.
Respect
- No hateful, harassing, sexual or violent content, in mods or on project pages.
- No spam, link farms or misleading download buttons.
Quality
- The mod must work with the current version of Celestial Client.
- Keep your project page clear: a real description, an icon and accurate categories.
Reporting
Use the Report link on any project, version or profile. Moderators read every report.
