Features
Celestial Client is a Minecraft: Java Edition client written from scratch in C++ with a Vulkan renderer. It plays the newest Java Edition, works with your worlds, servers, resource packs and shader packs, and runs mods written in Lua, C or C++ in a sandbox.
What's in it
A new engine
Written from scratch in C++ with a Vulkan 1.2 renderer. It is built to start quickly and hold a steady frame rate, on integrated graphics as well as dedicated cards.
The newest Java Edition
Celestial follows the newest Minecraft: Java Edition release. Gameplay, physics and network packets match vanilla, so servers see a normal client.
Your worlds and packs
Singleplayer worlds, multiplayer servers, resource packs and shader packs work without converting anything.
Client features in one place
Zoom, fullbright, a HUD editor, block outlines, a fog customizer, motion blur and more sit in one searchable Features screen. All of them are off until you turn them on, and none of them change how the game plays.
Fancy or vanilla look
Menus and the HUD come in a Fancy style or the vanilla look, with themes for the Fancy style.
Sandboxed mods
Mods use the CLight API and are written in Lua, C or C++ (C and C++ compile to WebAssembly). Each mod runs in its own sandbox with no native code, and only gets the permissions it asks for.
Mods checked before listing
Every mod file on this site is scanned and reviewed by staff before it is listed.
Launcher
The Celestial launcher signs you in with Microsoft, downloads the game files, keeps Celestial up to date and keeps separate instances for different mod sets.
Cosmetics
Capes, hats and other cosmetics made by creators, shown only to other Celestial players. They have no effect on gameplay or hitboxes.
