# Celestial Client

> Celestial Client is a Minecraft: Java Edition client written from scratch in C++ with a Vulkan renderer. It plays the newest Java Edition, works with your worlds, servers, resource packs and shader packs, and runs mods written in Lua, C or C++ in a sandbox.

Status: Closed beta: only testers can download and play. Anyone can create an account to join the list; testers are added by hand and get an email.

Celestial Client is not an official Minecraft product. It is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.
